Installing rain gutters can be a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be. In this blog post, we'll walk you through the process step-by-step. So read on, and get ready to tackle that gutter install like a pro!

Tools and Materials Needed:

- Ladder

- Drill

- Jigsaw or Circular Saw

- Measuring Tape

- Level

- Raingutter Brackets (we recommend at least two per section)

- Gutter Screws

- Pop rivets (optional)

- Hammer (optional)

- Wirecutters (optional)

First, you'll want to measure the length of your gutters. To do this, simply measure the perimeter of your home. Once you have that number, add about 10% to account for any cuts you'll need to make. This will give you the total length of gutting you'll need to purchase.

Next, you'll need to decide on the type of gutter you want. With so many different materials, sizes, and colors to choose from. We recommend aluminum gutters because they're low maintenance and resistant to rust. Whichever type you choose, just make sure that the brackets you purchase are compatible.

Now it's time to install the brackets. These will support the weight of the gutters, so it's important to place them correctly. Start by holding the bracket up to the fascia board (the horizontal board that runs along the edge of your roof). Use a level to make sure it's straight, then mark the holes with a pencil. Drill pilot holes at these marks, then use screws for pop gutter installation project!

If your gutters don't come with pre-drilled holes, you'll need to make them yourself. To do this, use a drill bit that's slightly smaller than the diameter of your screws. Drill through the lip of the gutter, making sure to keep the bit perpendicular to the surface.

Once all of your brackets are in place, it's time to cut the gutters to length. If you're using seamless gutters, you'll need to have them cut to size by a professional. Otherwise, you can use a jigsaw or circular saw to make the cuts yourself. Just be sure to measure twice and cut once!

With the gutters cut to size, it's time to install them. Start by slipping the lip of the gutter over the front edge of the bracket. Then, tilt the gutter back and press it into place. Use your screw to secure it in place.

For added stability, you can use pop rivets or hammer in nails at the seams. Just be sure not to put them too close to the edge, or they may come through the other side.

And that's it! With a little patience and careful planning, you've successfully installed gutters on your own. Now sit back and enjoy watching the rain roll away from your home—no more wet spots on the sidewalk or water stains on your siding!
